  • Friend's bday

So last Wednesday, I skipped out on Korean class to attend a friend's wife bday party. I had not seen her since July and her husband since they hosted me last winter at their home for dinner. So after work I went (after 3 bus transfers) and I made it safely. I met some of her friends and one of them I really hit it off with.

We got to have some good snacks and had Upper Crust pizza. The cake was good ole Carvel Ice Cream with the sprinkles and "dirt" (Chocolate cookie like crumbs is what JKL called them.) We all had a fun time and I enjoyed their photo gallery.

The new friend I made was very cool. She (AB) is of Indian descent who grew up in KL and went to school for University in the SOUTH (VA) and has not left. Though her family is still all in KL, she lives in the Back Bay with her spouse. My friend's wife met her through junior league. She had brought a lovely shrimp salad to share. Turns out due to her food allergies she has to be careful of what she eats ie soy, some fruits and veggies etc. In addition, she underwent a lot of changes thanks to a doctor worrying about her health. But she has a passion for foods and it was great meeting her. Turns out she likes Kdramas too and use to watch them when at home. So I had to tell her about Dramafever. (Only good for subscribers living in USA and I think Canada.)

After a nice night, I got a ride from my friend home. Luckily by car I live not even 10-15 minutes away but by T or bus it is a pain.

So grateful to have my friends still around. Seems like life is treating them well during their transition to East Coast. Turns out their style is all over in WEST COAST but in EAST COAST there is not alot in their niche. A top hotel likes them and puts them on their referral vendor list. So happy for them indeed! Yeah!
